First
of all and easiest In general, you can stream any audio from the
website on any internet connected device. That is probably the
easiest way to listen. The rest of these steps are for off-line
listening, collector-completionists, or punishment gluttons.
On that, my apologies for what a pain in the ass it is download the
audio as a proper podcast. I will be making this easier in the
future. But for now, if you want to listen to the audio as a
podcast through iTunes and you have an actual computer, here’s how:
1) Right click on the audio link and select whatever browser specific
“Save as” option that is presented.
2) Save the file to somewhere on your computer to where you can
remember it.
3) Once it is saved, open iTunes and drag the saved audio file from
where you remembered saving it into ITunes.
4) The audio file will copy into “Music” under the title “Frank
Searing Presents”. You can find it in “Music” under “Recently
Added” unless you wait an excessively long time to look for it.
5) Right click on the audio chapter that you have downloaded and
select “Get Info”. Under the “Options” tab at the top, for “Media
Kind”, select “Podcast” from the drop down menu. This will move the
file from “Music” to “Podcast”.
6) Next time you update your Podcasts from your computer to your
device, you’ll be able to import the audio chapter provided that you
have selected “Frank Searing Presents” for transfer and haven’t made
any other poor choices in your settings that would otherwise impair
your listening experience.
7) Listen at your leisure, best enjoyed before emergency landings,
experimental surgeries, or criminal sentencings.
